🍎Apples Everywhere! 🍏
In celebration of Johnny Appleseed's birthday, the kindergarten and first-grade classes engaged in a hands-on learning experience through five different apple-themed stations. Students learned about Johnny’s story while exploring various aspects of apples, which included making apple prints and tasting different apple varieties. They also crafted Johnny Appleseed hats and observed a fun science experiment with an exploding apple.
This fun Friday afternoon activity was a way to integrate reading, science, and art, while learning about a beloved American figure.
